Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in Nigeria, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Nigeria showcased diverse performance metrics. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Google Maps maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 20.9K downloads in mid-August. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, starting at around 466K and experiencing a slight decline before rebounding to approximately 449K by the end of September.

Location Changer, Save Location saw a modest download trend, with numbers ranging from 393 to 622 downloads weekly. Despite the lack of revenue data, the app's presence in the market remained consistent.

Google Earth experienced a decline in both downloads and active users over the quarter. Weekly downloads decreased from 547 to 344, while active users dropped from approximately 6.7K to 4.4K.

GPS Emulator, GPS Tracker recorded a significant spike in downloads in late July, reaching 1.6K downloads, before stabilizing to a range of 254 to 419 downloads weekly.

MapXplorer: Navigation, Radar showed an increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $275 by the end of September. Downloads varied significantly, with a high of 684 in mid-August and a low of 69 in early July. Active users started at approximately 6.2K, peaked at 8.1K, and ended the quarter at 6.1K.
